For the High Society Talks series, we created a three-part visual narrative with Ogan Tüzel, the name synonymous with discovering, defining, and bringing kitesurfing to Turkey. The concept blends documentary-style interviews with cinematic outdoor sequences. Each episode traces a different chapter: how he first encountered the sport, the early days of building a community, and the cultural shift that followed as kitesurfing took root along the Turkish coastline.
Our production design connected the dialogue to real locations. A trampoline session at home shows the physicality and playfulness behind board control. A long single car shot through forest roads marks the journeys that shaped the sport’s early years. Aerials of Alaçatı and the Aegean coastline set the tone for freedom, curiosity, and exploration. Every frame supports the sense that this is not just a sport history, it’s a story of movement.
The interviews were filmed in intimate, relaxed environments. We kept the camera close, the light soft, and the gestures visible. The goal was to let Ogan Tüzel’s voice carry the emotional weight, the excitement of discovery, the challenges of convincing people, the pride of watching a community grow. The pacing remains calm and human, letting each memory land naturally.
We closed the series with a beach conversation, framed by wind gear and open water. This segment brings the story back to its roots: one person, one idea, and a coastline ready for something new. Across all three episodes, our approach was to document legacy with clarity, momentum, and sincerity, a tribute to the person who ignited an entire sport culture in Turkey.
